Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF is implementing the project “Protection of Child Rights in Kosovo” funded by EU and managed by the European Union Office in Kosovo. Within this project KOMF has provided funding for seven local organizations that are developing the process for drafting a regulation on children’s rights.
Organizations that are implementing the project have held their own workshops, in which besides drafting the regulation are working in the self-evaluation process as well, a tool that addresses how the municipality tries to respond to the particular needs of children. The project aims to strengthen the capacities of local civil society organizations in the field of advocacy and child protection rights that will further work and support seven municipalities to develop action plans on child protection rights.
Organizations that are implementing the project are: For the municipality of Prishtina: Civil Rights Program Kosovo – CRPK, for the municipality of Fushë Kosovë: AKTI NGO, for the municipality of Gjilan: Network of Peace Movement – NOPM, for the municipality of Drenas: Shpresa dhe Shtëpi për Fëmijët – SDSF, for the municipality of Peja: George Williams Youth Association – GWYA, for the municipality of Lipjan: POLIS, for the municipality of Ferizaj: Organizata e Fëmijëve pa Kujdes Prindëror – OFAP.
